Gibson guitars

Gibson is one of the few brands that is able to brag about both its acoustic and electric sound, and its long history of famous players who would swear by them.  The first guitar that most people think of is the famous Les Paul from Gibson, the electric guitar that revolutionized the way we think of guitars (or at the very, very least, the way guitars should look), has become one of the most famous models on the market.  Even the game “guitar hero” made a Les Paul version of their controller to appease their music-loving Gibson-wanting audience.

Gibson made many other guitars as well, however, and they shouldn't be passed up just because Les Paul has made such an impact on the guitar world.  In 1963, Gibson put out the Firebird, a style which took from the styles of the Fender guitars of the day and added their own unique twist for a rebellious guitar with a killer sound.  The BB King made its mark on the blues and jazz audiences thanks to the artist who they were named after.

It wasn't just the electric guitars which made an impact and were clutched by those who clutched our hearts with their music.  Acoustic guitars like the J-45, the ES 135, the Thinline, and the

Les Paul guitars themselves have also seen some changes.  These Gibson guitars have seen a Deluxe model, featuring mini humbuckers – a feature that gave a really unique sound to this model.  Other models, like the Les Paul standard and the Les Paul custom made changes to the hardware or electronics which gave these guitars a somewhat different sound.  As a result, many of the world's most famous musicians clung to and swear by these models.
