Where to Buy Guitar Sheet Music

When you're learning how to play the guitar, it's especially important to have some solid guitar sheet music to walk you through these early steps.  Otherwise, it's too easy to fall into the trap of feeling like you're going nowhere with the music.  By having sheet music, you can complete songs and have something to show for your efforts, all while learning technique and sight reading.  But where should you buy guitar sheet music?

One option to look at is free music.  While it can be difficult to track down, you may well be able to find guitar sheet music online that allows you to learn some basic melodies without making any investment.  You'll need a printer, and you'll have to be okay with a lower quality of a print out, but so long as all that's okay with you, it's worth a gander.

Another place to go to save some money is online.  There are a variety of specialty music stores, not to mention auction sites like eBay, that have a broad selection of sheet music to choose from.  Not only will you have a massive selection, you'll also get it at a cheaper cost.  However, you won't be able to look through it to be certain it's at your difficulty level, and it can take a while to arrive.

A music store, the easiest pick, may be a bit more expensive, but it does give you the opportunity to look through the guitar sheet music before you purchase, even trying out a few songs beforehand if you'd like.  The additional cost is outweighed for some by this additional convenience, not to mention the instant gratification.
